Iwahig Firefly Watching is an ecotourism project initiated by the City Government of Puerto Pricncesa and ABS-CBN Foundation. The goal is to conserve the natural resources, give livelihood to the local residence and as well give tourists’ unforgettable experience.

Iwahig Firefly Watching is an ecotourism project initiated by the City Government of Puerto Pricncesa and ABS-CBN Foundation. The goal is to conserve the natural resources, give livelihood to the local residence and as well give tourists unforgettable experience.

The tour is from 05:30 pm to 08:30 pm and takes 45 minutes of mingling with fireflies. Guest will boat the 10 meters wide Iwahig River which is about 2 to 3 meters deep and surrounded by mangrove forest. Bio luminous plankton is also present and of course real stars in the sky.
