Ugong Rock is a popular tourist destination in Puerto Princesa City. It features a 75 feet limestone formation, about an hour of caving and a 350 meters zip line adventure. The rock formation is like a pedestal that stands in the middle or a rice fields. On its summit anyone can witness the 360 degree of view-breathtaking combination of lush green fields and mountains with white candy clouds and clear blue sky.
Ugong Rock is a Community Based Sustainable Tourism project which is supported by the City Government, ABS-CBN Bantay Kalikasan Foundation and the Department of Tourism. The main objective of the project is to generate income in the local community through a sustainable use of natural resources. Using its natural gift Ugong Rock is now enjoyed by local and foreign tourists and one of the favorite adventure spot in the city. A unique combination of caving, climbing and zip line!
The site is located at Brgy. Tagabenit. The ride normally takes about an hour and a half from the heart of the city. Caving is about 45 minutes and zip line is the fastest so far in the country.
